While the Autbots have been acting as public protectors on Earth, the Decepticons are under the Pacific Ocean building a huge underwater base >from the ruins of their crashed space cruiser. Shockwave calls from Cybertron with news that energy supplies are low. They create the space bridge, but have little control over how it works or when it opens to connect Earth and Cybertron. Capturing Spike and altering Bumblebee's memory, they lure the Bots into a trap. They escape and foil Megatron's plan to send Spike through the bridge, sending Megs instead. Megatron is presumed destroyed by everybody. Ask and ye shall receive. Was I whining about the lack of serious, nitty gritty episodes? Shame on me. Amazing how this show seems to last longer than an hour, yet doesn't drag. Even with two gratuitous fight scenes. You know how Rumble and Frenzy are mixed up in the cartoon? So are LaserBeak and BuzzSaw. Think about it; Buzzy is listed as the spy on his tech spec, wheras Lizzy is the warrior. Why is LaserBeak doing all this recon work? It's a shame that they aren't broadcasting the episodes in a more coherent order. However, it seems that they did this episode with the G2 computer stuff a bit later then the rest, because it has the new and improved CyberCube graphics, with the claw and the melting walls and all. Speaking of which, I noticed that in yesterday's episode (Heavy Metal War) at the end of the intro sequence Prime's head did not morph into the cube, but rather the scene was depicted from within the cube. That signified that it was an earlier episode, one of the original thirteen they tried the G2 graphics on first. "How are we gonna get out of this?" "By the skin of our teeth..." "I didn't human skin had teeth." "Starscream retreat? Never..." KKC, still has a late paper to write.
