The Revenge of Bruticus, featuring your favorite renegade Decepticons and 
a temporary alliance between the Autobots and Decepticons.

Stranded on the moldy asteroid, Starscream rants, raves, and leaves while 
the evil quintet plots revenge against the universe. The Combaticons land 
on Cybertron, overpower Shockwave, and take over. They also modify the 
space bridge to alter earth's orbit and push it into the sun (huh?)...
Meanwhile, on earth, the Insecticons are wreaking havok. Protectobots 
fight them and the rising heat. The insecticons steal and later drop a 
space bridge control that the Bots and Cons need to get to Cybertron to 
stop the Combaticons. Megatron fools Prime into thinking that he blows up 
Bruticus, which he doesn't Starscream, despite threats and harrassment, 
becomes Megatron's subordinate again.

Like the first episode, this one is deadly serious, with few of the 
regular one-liners or quips. The only problem is with the plauibility of 
the EI/AD. Just how in the hell do you move a planet's orbit? And why 
haven't they tried to do this before?

Cameos by Streetwise and Groove, who both have excellent voice actors. 
Near the end, though, we see Sideswipe talking with Sunstreaker's voice. 
Also, Megatron's evil cackle (tm) was cut off at the end, suggesting that 
maybe the G2 team has cut other episodes? Maybe.

Footnote: Apparently, when Budainsky and Romita were coming up with 
character designs for Sideswipe and Sunstreaker, they got their wires 
crossed about who was who. If you read their techspecs and their 
Transformers univers entries carefully, you see that one is better suited 
to the other, and vice versa. For example, Sunstreaker says that his 
brother's auto design is ruined by his souped-up "outboard motor", when 
in fact it is Sunstreaker who has the outboard motor. Also, Sunstreaker 
looks like he's the one who has the rocket pack, wheras Sideswipe looks 
like he's got the rocket launcher (singular) on his shoulder.

Toys they should reissue:
Protectobots (I want a red Hot Spot! And black and chrome arms and legs!)
Insecticons
Tracks ("I'll teach you to mess with a Chrysler building!")

"I can't stand it! I can't stand it! This is a cosmic prison!"
"Shut up!" *BLAM*

"I _will_ rule the universe, even if I am the only one left in the universe!"
