Megatron watches the ship full of Autobots blow up on the sun, and Shawn Berger becomes more demanding about his "reward." At a press conference, Megatron announces that he is taking over the world (What are we gonna do tonight, Megs?) Meanwhile, with Trailbreaker's force-field, the Autobots survive the explosion but are still headed towards the sun, because Cosmos's guidance system is still hooked up to Teletran-I. After an escape from the energy production facility, Chip inadvertantly allows Thrust to destroy Teletran, which frees up Cosmos. After the Cons drive off a human fleet offighter aircraft, the Autobots show up. In classical Cybertronian battle (IE everyone stand in a line and shoot) THe Cons are defeated, and the Bots are exonerated. Beautiful, beautiful animation... When the three coneheads go into the city to knock down buildings, you have seamless, fluid transform sequences. Nice and believable too. You have lots of dramatic shots of Prime's and Megatron's faces, as well as some pretty good shots of the other jets flying around shooting missiles. Not without its faults, tho. Berger's philosophical ranting ("It is the apocalypse!") sopunds like something out of X-men TAS, and Spike manages to avoid and/or beat up on Ravage no less than three times. Also, near the end no Autobots have any dialogue except for Prime and Ironhide. Ever notice the PC points this episode earned? Cosmos is given a hispanic accent, and Chip ends up being the hero, despite his wheel-chair (Of course, were this episode made today, Chip would be a black woman in her mid-fifties in a wheelchair made in Brazil with a calcium deficiency divorced twice and widowed once...) "This city is under martial law... And _I_ am the marshall..." "Anything is better than nothing, I guess." KKC, with any luck (and if his roommate pays him back today) I'll be able to go off thrift shop hunting today... -- Kendrick Kerwin Chua - kendrick@io.com - "Hey man, your bike's on fire."
