Grapple designs a solar power collector that would generate tons of energy, but Prime doesn't approve construction because the Decepticons are a threat. The Constructicons dupe Hoise and Grapple into helping them build the tower with a phony secession story, and Megatron takes control of the tower. The Autobots arrive, trick Devastator into destroying the tower, and rescue Hoist and Grapple. The Decepticons run away. Somebody have a sports fetish over in Toei? This ep features Prime and several other Autobots playing basketball, for crying out loud. Since this episode also comes from the original 13 ep run of G2, I can count no less than 4 epiosdes with some kind of sports theme in it... This episode is one which establishes pre-earth origins for the Constructicons. Scrapper gives a line to Grapple about admiring all his buildings when they were back on Cybertron. This flies in the face of the Constructicon's origin story, that they were built on earth by Megatron. Beautiful transform sequences, especially for the Constructicons and for Smokescreen. Many of these segments became snapshot transforms during the credits of the original show, like LongHaul transforming and leaving a pile of energon cubes behind him. Toys they should reissue: Powerglide ("Airborne is reborn!") Warpath ("POW! ZAM! ZOOOIE!") "Am I drooling correctly, Spike?" "And just what does your doohickey do, Grapple?" KKC, sadly, none of the original minibots will get reissued save the ones that are already released. According to Hasbro, the molds for the other ten minibots were destroyed when TF was canned in America. Unless they go and retool them completely, we won't see any new minibots anytime soon. :( -- Kendrick Kerwin Chua - kendrick@io.com - "Hey man, your bike's on fire."
