Today was "Auto Berserk," where Red Alert thinks that the Autobots are 
all out to get him and goes insane. Starscream, who _knows_ the 
Decepticons are all out to get _him_, is abandoned in battle and teams up 
with Red to get at the EI/AD. The Evil invention/alien device this 
episode is the Negavator(tm), a sixty-foot phaser developed jointly by 
the Autobots and the American military. Megatron tries and fails to steal 
this weapon twice.

It was nice to see a lot of the TF's actually using the powers for which 
they are justly known. Smokescreen used both his magnetic smoke clouds 
and his disruptor bolts. You see Thrust do a VTOL take off with the fans 
in his wings. You also had an appearance from all six Decepticon jets, a 
rarity throughout the series.

It was also nice to see the TF's actually using their vehicle forms as 
disguise, rather than transportation. Grapple sits right beside the 
Decepticons for the better part of a battle in his crane mode and they 
don't give him a second glance, until he drops several tons of concrete 
on Ramjet. Also shows that both sides don't necessarily know their enemy 
completely, otherwise they'd have pegged him right there.

This episode calls into question just how human-like the Transformers 
really are. If they can go insane and have delusions, can they question 
their own existence? Are there drugs or foreign agents that can cause 
them to experience other levels of existence? Did Red just go nuts or did 
he release fears from his subconcious? Why am I even pursuing this train 
of thought?

Toys they should reissue:
Dirge - the only jet who didn't have a line this episode. Darn.
Smokescreen
Grapple
