In the past few weeks there have been a number of posts from people whose views I respect, saying that they don't like particular authors. One poster doesn't like Diana Wynne Jones; a few more don't like Ursula K LeGuin; and some of the posters in this thread don't care for Connie Willis. Now, I love these authors - but as I say; I respect the views of these posters. How can we disagree? This teaches me an important lesson. They are bad people. In fact, they are probably not people at all, but evil robots sent from the future to disparage my favorite authors. If this were not the case they would be unable to express their bad opinions.
